The NSO students on enrollment are divided into different house including girls. Regular sports classes are conducted on all evenings in all working days during the first year of their study. The training is composed of Physical fitness exercises followed by exposing the students to various events in sports and games through training. A compulsory residential camp is conducted at the end of academic year for a period of 10 days during the post summer just before the commences of Third semester. Expert coaches are invited from Sports Federations and Associations to offer training in all disciplines of sports and games. During the camp, students are made to undergo training in specific games on rotation basis. Events such as Yoga, First Aid and Martial Arts, and any other events as may be felt necessary may also be taught apart from the other conventional games and sport. Inter-House competitions are conducted among the houses in various games, which are undertaken by students in the camp. The camp ends with a campfire, wherein the students exhibit their skills and talents that they mastered during the course of the camp. Experts from various sports disciplines are invited as Chief Guest for motivating the young students and distribute certificates to the students for their successful completion of camp and regular activities.
